Tonight, just after midnight EST, those long flowing Facebook web addresses will turn into vanity URLs. Read more here

That makes hard rock bands like Cinderella easier to find. Instead of the big, geeky URL, all their friends, groupies and fans can find the band by typing facebook.com/cinderella. Groovy, isn’t it? There’s just one problem with Facebook’s fairy tale URL, everyone wants to try on your name.

I dig the way one firm sells itself on YouTube.

BooneOakley.com is a full service advertising agency for “people who dare to do daring work.” When they dared themselves to create a unique web presence, they produced this YouTube video, linking to about us and work.

Being the super-consumerist that I am, I had to click to their online store at the right. I want the boss mug by booneoakley, because it really speaks to me. Hey, I should get my ass on Zazzle.com to create and sell my own mug.

The Carey Says Ums latte? That’s a bitter bean.
